There's this person I've followed for a long time on multiple platforms. We used to have a few fandoms in common, but not anymore. I'm not close with her or anything, but I've always admired her. I realized recently that she has some type of eating disorder. I kind of suspected when she was getting even skinnier (she was lanky to begin with) and the bags under her eyes started to get more prominent. But I feel like it was confirmed when I noticed hat a lot of her images were being rebloged from pro-ana users.

I don't plan on doing anything with her situation. I don't know her that well so it's not my place to try and talk to her about it. But it just saddens me because that used to be me. I was so into the pro-ana movements a few years ago and I know how much an eating disorder can take over your life. And in a lot of screwed up ways, I miss it too.

Um... that doesn't necessarily mean she has an eating disorder. Yes, it's possible she does, but for all you know, she might have a medical condition she doesn't care to mention publicly.

da
Do people without eating disorders follow the pro-ana movement?

Movement, no. Particular users? Possibly. And OP's friend isn't necessarily following the person - I've reblogged from people I don't know from a hole in the ground because they've showed up in a topical search or paraded across my dash via a person I am following.
