OP, I cried too, but he wasn't the first in my life.

I too, got sad when he died, because he composed a lot of good scores for some of my favorite films (Die Hard, Licence to Kill, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves).

Oh, nonny, I feel you. I fell in love with his scores a few years ago and was surprised to find how heartbroken I was over the fact that he had died before I ever discovered his music.
