I feel that way about all teh characters, tbh. I don't watch the show but I've seen bits and pieces. Relative who's a fan. All I can say is ICK. (But I must admit I ended up seeing a clip on YouTube that satirized the American health care system brilliantly, so they did one thing right, once, at least.)

I have some sympathy for Charlie, who seems like he could have been a really decent person if he'd had a totally different set of influences... but yeah, they're all meant to be repellent.

The show itself has some smart writing, though-- if you can handle a show where all the characters are intentionally unlikable then it's a good show (though one that occasionally goes over the top), but if you want to actually empathize with even one character, then yeah... I totally understand it not being someone's jam.

Honestly for me the characters are written as sooo unlikeable that they come back around to being likable to me. Better known as "I love these assholes".

that works for me with some shows but not this one. I've seen the show several times (some of my friends love it) but I can't stand watching it. I just want all the characters to go the fuck away.
