When people answer the phone with a grunt or a "Yeah?" Doesn't bother me as much nowadays because you always know who's calling on a cellphone. But in old movies or TV shows with landlines and no caller ID? Who would have answered the phone that way?

Then there's people on TV never saying "goodbye" or similar when hanging up.

nayrt and oh god this bugs me even more. Seriously, normal people don't end a sentence and then hang up. Normal people say "okay well gotta go, (wait for verbal confirmation from other person) bye (hang up)" or something along those lines. If someone just suddenly hung up on me without that, I'd call back, assuming we lost connection.
