What's going on in your life?

Still stressing over my company that's for sale, whether I'll still have a job in six months, whether it'll be a job I want if I do and if I should look for other jobs now even though I might keep and still like my job.

But at least I hit the brakes on house-buying stress. That's definitely off the table until I know more about everything else.

My brother fell off a ladder yesterday, busted up his back and ribs, and tore off part of his finger (you can see bone). He's undergoing an audit at work right now and doesn't do well with pain.

What I thought were mosquito bites turns out to be chigger bites instead. A day after I apparently got them. There is not enough cortisone creme out there! And forget wearing shorts for a while too, shit looks nasty right behind my knees. And two on my bikini line. How the fuck did they get there? I swear I was wearing pants yesterday when I pulled weeds. This is what it does to me. Damnit.

Oh no! I hated getting those as a kid. Then my parents would cover them all up with nail polish. :(

My grandmother most likely had a heart attack. My dad took her to her doctor earlier today and the doctor decided that it would be best if she underwent some tests at the hospital, so she's there at the moment. Won't know more until sometime after noon tomorrow though.

While I obviously don't want her to have any issues with her heart or anything, I really hope this becomes a bit of a wake up call for her to take better care of herself, or at least start going to the doctor more often. (We've been nagging at her to go to the doctor for ages for other issues, and my dad found out that some of the meds she's been taking expired in 2008...)

Finally got an appointment to see my gynecologist again. 3rd period in a month? Not okay. Also, still job hunting. Got my ears pierced today.

I am in the middle of an incredibly rewarding week's vacation with my girlfriend. Technically it'd be a "staycation" if I could bring myself to use that goddamn word without angry quotation marks around it.

LOTS of sex, lots of interesting experimentation together, weird little intra-city adventures, long conversations about our relationship, our dynamic, and a million other things, cheesy old movies that we love, one of the most severe spankings of my life (still sore in a couple spots two days later, y'all), separate-but-together time to work on our respective craft and creative projects, and sweet Jesus, you would not believe the cooking. Right now the whole house smells like blueberry pie, because we spent yesterday picking fresh blueberries.

I really don't remember a time I've been this happy this many days in a row. Despite not being able to sit comfortably.

I'm finally talking to my apartment complex's regional director about my pest problem tomorrow and hoooopefully gonna move to another unit so I can get my life back and actually spend time at home again and not live out of plastic bags.

I like my job. I have had to tentatively-plan-then-not-do three mini vacations so far this summer for a variety of reasons (none of which actually had to do with work itself) and it makes me sad. I just had dinner with a good friend I haven't seen in a while whose home situation is arguably worse than mine. We talked about all the sad news lately :( but it was great to see her.

Still idly thinking about moving back to Costa Rica at some point.

In the meantime, spending a lot of time at Starbucks and a lot of time playing YGO. Not that that last bit is anything new. And I'm on a huge Sims kick atm.

I'm on summer vacation right now until September.... and it'll go by in a flash. The only thing shorter than a weekend is a vacation...even if it is two months.

My internet has been shut off, but luckily my aunt lives up the street from me and is letting me use her wifi for the evening. My dad's going to try to sell one of his amps tomorrow, so hopefully we'll have internet again soon. Fingers crossed.

Today I got a prescription for Norco and a referral to the pain doc, tonight I came home and did the final edits on my Spn_Summergen fic (fortunately I got most of the actual writing done before my jaw turned into 100% pure OW) and that's now e-mailed off. So I'm gonna take Norco and hopefully get some actual sleep instead of waking up from the pain multiple times a night.
