It's out in Australia and Japan (officially)! Is anyone else playing it?

All that shows up around my house is Pidgey and Rattata. I wish I was kidding.

I thought it was Australia and New Zealand, and not even Japan had it officially?

I'm in the US and am resisting every urge to download it through hacks. I read a scare article saying that Nintendo will ban accounts that are made in the incorrect region, so idk. Want to play sooo bad..

I got it last night. All that was near me was a Bulbasaur, and I had a difficult time working out how to catch it; but the weather's pretty nice today so I think I'll go out and see if I can catch anything else.
[which will be the first bit of exercise I've had in quite some time...]

UPDATE - I walked a few blocks and encountered a Pidgeot, which I caught, and a Zubat, which I did not manage to catch (I ran out of pokeballs).
Shortly after encountering the Zubat, I reached a Pokestop, which gave me a few more pokeballs. I then turned around and almost immediately lost them trying to catch the Zubat.
I really don't know what I'm doing wrong with the catching mechanism. But then, it's not like the game gives any sort of instructions...

From the small experience I have (only have a tablet and I can only catch things AT my house), you need to try doing a swift, straight swipe towards the pokemon, preferably when the green circle is closest to the white circle (you get bonus EXP when you have a "great" throw). Whenever I'd do a short swipe, try going off an angle, or in any way attempt to mix it up, I failed the throw. When I drew a line from the ball to the target it managed to catch them. The problem is, if it's too fast or too slow it had a tendency to mess up.

So far I only have a Bulbasaur, Eevee, and Paras, since that's all that has been in range of my house. Bulbasaur is XL in both its height and weight.

I've never played a pokemon game before, so this is very much a brave new word for me.

Me!! The servers keep going down. Working in the city is very beneficial XD I want a nidoran tho? Dunno where they are.

Also how the hell to incubate these eggs? It keeps saying I can't use the incubator.

I think I want the watch thing but idk where to get it.

In the shop you can buy an incubator? I'm unsure if they give you a free one (only level 2 atm). It says it has three uses.

You can preorder the watch at most retailers that sell electronics/games (gamestop, amazon, etc.). It comes out at the end of the month, iirc. When I preordered mine on Amazon, it gave me promo codes for Final Fantasy, lol.

I'm not sure what Australia sellers sell it! I'll check out eBay if it's still preorder.

I have an incubator with infinite uses but it says it's not the time to use it? The tips button is not useful.

It's currently crashing tho

I live in a residential area in a small town and all around me is just like... beginner type pokemon. Pidgeys, Rattata, Weedles. D: Was so hoping we'd have interesting pokemon where I am!
