Plus I got the feeling Kaijicendr's 15 minutes was not the standard, just what they made themselves do when they'd rather do zero minutes on it.

AYRT--heh, I wasn't wheezing. The treadmill was, because I suck at maintenance. When I started, I did three miles an hour with no incline at all. I already walked everywhere in my day to day life, so that helped a lot, but mostly I didn't set the incline very high or vary it much at first. Once I worked up to 3.5 mph, I started varying the overall speed and incline, like for a couple minutes I'd set it to 5 mph or the highest incline setting for 5 minutes. But I never got higher than 5.4 mph without being unceremoniously dumped off the back of the treadmill into a bookcase. I'm more of a tortoise than a hare, I can walk all day but a sprinter I'm not.
