Seriously, have you not been paying attention to the news? Two blacks shot dead by the police in two days.

No, seriously, fuck you.

My guess is they know and are trying to rile everyone up.

People of ALL races get shot by police all the time too. You remember that whole "intersectionality" thing? It isn't just a "cops hate black people" issue. It is a "cops are not held responsible for their violent actions in regards to anyone + the thin blue line exists + cops need better training."

Where are all these mythical white victims of the police?

I'm not seeing any evidence that this guy is innocent.

Cool. So cops ARE justified in shooting any unarmed person they want? Awesome. :D

If you have someone that you just saw commit a felony red-handed, you still can't punish that by gunning them down in the fucking street. Guilty people shouldn't be murdered either. This isn't the fucking Old West.

I don't think people were gunned down like that in the Old West, either.

Well, Native Americans, were, but that was a race war.

That's definitely the narrative in Westerns. I haven't actually done the historical research to see whether that's accurate (and if you have please tell me more!) but it would kind of surprise me if there weren't a lot more vigilantism in those conditions.

I don't know a lot about it, but Hollywood westerns, like much of pop culture, are full of crap.

That's not the intersectional point to make here.

Cops are too violent and incompetent and undertrained in general. Also - and separately - policing in the United States is directed much more against African-Americans than it is against the population at large. Which is why, statistically, African-Americans are killed by police at a disproportionately high rate.

It is, in fact, a classic example of what intersectionality actually does mean. You have two basic truths about American society - overmilitarized, violent, incompetent policing, and a racist power structure - and the result is that the people for whom those two things meet are treated much worse by the state.

The basic idea of intersectionality literally leads to the opposite conclusion you're using it for.

I'm going with D: all of the above.

No of course not all cops hate black people but there is definitely a racism problem.
