Well the two title characters are parodies, so they are often the butt of jokes, but they aren't treated like jokes if that makes any sense. I really don't recall the inclusion of too many minority characters (aside from the occasional boyfriend character).

In a roundabout way the show does have it's good points: the relationships between the women are the focus in a very organic way, passes the Bechdel test with flying colors, actually does manage to comment on complex social and women's issues in a way that's mature/inclusive/hilarious when it tries.

Honestly, I'd just try to find a few episodes or clips on youtube to see if it agrees with you.
