The show stars two characters who are kind of terrible but hilarious to watch, mostly because awful things happen to them because of their awfulness. Don't watch the movie if you want "progressive" comedy. Do watch the movie if you want to see some of the best British comedy written by two women who were also at the forefront of the biggest British comedy revolution since Monty Python.
