There is no reason to suppose that someone who cares about the fact that police officers keep killing random black people is insincere. It's something that we should care about. Caring about it does not diminish caring about anything else. There's nothing paternalistic about it. It is the appropriate reaction to the continual killing of black people by police. Showing empathy to the black people killed by police, and the people trying to change the system that leads to black people killed by police, does not mean that you don't care about the deaths of other people.

Also: fuck you, you piece of shit, for making a million awful personal judgments about someone that have no basis in reality. Go to hell. I know it's hard but maybe you could have some empathy for the people wantonly executed by police officers. "paternalise as your pets" jesus fucking christ so the only reason you can think that someone would care about Philando Castile getting shot is because he's their pet? otherwise, you know, who cares? you fuckhead.
