Huh, I just looked this movie up on IMDB, and the cast list is very interesting - Viola Davis, Isabella Rossellini, and Walton fucking Goggins?? Plus Sebastian Stan kissing a dude? It must be *really* bad that none of those actors can make it worthwhile.

It's been a couple years since I've seen it, but not even the excellent cast could save it for me. And you're right, the cast is indeed impressive, but it just amounts to nothing. I won't say the performances themselves are bad, but the movie didn't feel like it had a lot of substance for me. It could have with a better writer, but... It just failed on every level to me.

I don't drink (I have no moral stance against it), but I did have the same thought.
