But a diagnosis doesn't invalidate a person's experiences, and it doesn't really simplify what they're going through--a mental disorder can give some insight into a person, but it doesn't mean that everyone with the same disorder experiences the same symptoms, or deals with things the same way. (Not everything being pathological, though, I agree with.)
