So this is gonna sound weird but like, 80% of Twilight Hate back in the day was clearly coming from people who hadn't read the books and were just jumping on the 'THEY SPARKLE SO IT'S BAD' bandwagon. I saw a lot of complaints about things that were readily explained in the book, or were already part of vampire lore (EX: "REAL vampires drink human blood" Angel and late-Buffy Spike didn't. "REAL vampires burn in the sunlight" Dracula didn't.)
