What about Madoka? That's pretty dark. You'd have to like lolis, though.

not OP - I enjoyed Madoka a lot more than I thought I would, and while there's clearly a lot of intentional lesbian subtext, my two problems would be: one, lolis, and the main girl is loli princess. and two, I was never convinced that she was romantically into the other girl. The long-haired girl was pretty clearly into her, but I never got that romantic vibe from the protagonist.

The side-couple was more gay, except the short-haired girl was mostly into a dude.

I don't like loli but I love Madoka. One, they're 14, and I know that's not supposed to matter because of how they're drawn, but... well, it does to some people. Two, I'd even say they don't particularly look loli in the context of the art style. All the characters, including the adults, are drawn in that soft, round-faced style. If it were only the girls who were drawn like that, that would be a different story.

I think the characters are cute, but the main character is definitely loli. She talks and acts like a six-year-old, not a fourteen-year-old. Now, since I have zero sexual attraction to her or loli characters in general, I can appreciate the mindless cute. But she's still ridiculously loli.

I can understand why people would be turned off to Madoka's deisgn, but she really dosen't act like that imo. She's kinda childish, but she's not a toddler.

Her personality is definitely like a 6-year-old. She's derpy, wide-eyed, naive, and dumb. I can't remember a single scene where she believably acted 14.
