I don't see them together sexually, but Root obviously adored him. I'm not sure if Harold ever got over the fact she bound him to a chair and made him watch her torture a man near to death, though.

He always seemed a bit wary of her.

That would be lovely. I don't know if there's a lot of gen fic in the fandom or not. It seems like there isn't that much fic in the fandom in general, which surprises me considering the quality of the show.
