I need to go back and rewatch those films. On my first watch I mostly focused on her awesome, awesome costumes.

Nooo, if you can, watch the Clone Wars episodes instead. A lot of people hate all the politicalness but I really loved them, and they do a far better service to her character.

Noted, I will go back and check those out. It's strange, but after TFA came out I had far more respect for the prequels. At least they were trying to tell a new story.

(Although, her costumes in the prequels were all kinds of gorgeous. :))
