wellbutrin

Starting this at my next weekend and on one hand I can't wait but I don't want to go in with unrealistic expectations. I just want something that will make the stress and frustration and "I can't do this" feeling to go away or be lessened at work. Especially when I KNOW I can do it and the things that seem like huge roadblocks are just speedbumps. It just doesn't feel that way right now.

Is that what Wellbutrin will do?

Hopefully. Everyone is different. I was on Welbutrin for a year before going off of it. It helped me quite a lot. The benefit of Welbutrin is that it is a pretty safe and steady medication to take.

I call Wellbutrin my Fuckitol. Because I give no fucks while I'm taking it regularly.

Uh uh. See that does not sound good to me. I want to give a fuck. I NEED to give a fuck. I just don't want to give so much of a fuck that it cripples me.

Or, alternately, I realized today that, except for the things that are stressing me out, my ability to give a fuck about other things is diminished. And I don't like that either.

I've never been on that particular medication, but with one exception (Lamictal) I've generally had pretty good experiences with antidepressants.

I recommend the website "Crazy Meds" if you are looking for a wide range of experiences that people have had with different psych meds.

Wellbutrin by itself didn't do much for me. But after I got on Zoloft and wasn't pleased with the sexual side effects, the doc added Wellbutrin, which mitigates those. Now I can get a hard-on AND not want to kill myself. Thanks, science!
