I don't specifically seek out darkfic but I have a hard time finding f/f fics where there is the kind of enemies-to-friends-to-lovers/odd couple conflicts that I love, or even ships whose canon dynamic lends itself well to that (you pretty much have to go for women who make up a love triangle around a guy or have catty teenage rivalries). I'm relatively new to even seeking it out but it seems like most femslash is just fluffy good friends who get along swell and start kissing one day, and it's just a little too...functional for me? But I may be in the wrong fandoms.
