Really? Are you American? They removed the rickety stuff but the bars on swings and the roundabout are all clearly metal. I struggle to see the logic behind removing them unless they were really old and had jagged edges and stuff. Plastic or wood can be just as dense and would be just as likely to cause injury.

But you're right, now that I take a closer look, there is some metal there. But I never see any metal monkey bars, climbers, swingsets, slides, etc.

Oh wow. The parks near me look nothing like that. That looks incredibly flimsy, like the kind of thing that would be put in a back garden and not a public park.

I'm American and powder-coated metal playground equipment is all I ever see. It's the wood and concrete playgrounds of my childhood that are rare.
