nayrt, but from my perspective, 3 and 4 suffered from a lack of Hicks/Ripley. I so wanted those two to get together - loved the UST in Aliens.

3 was really grimdark before grimdark was a big thing, and 4 felt really stupid.

I don't mind 3 too much, but it is what it is. 4... when I think about it, 4 tried to be Aliens, with a crew who are only surviving if they listen to Ripley, but it failed to grab me the way Aliens ever did.
