Oh, well, that's fucking terrible.

I wouldn't blame it on the channel move though. Plenty of shows have problems with cast members wanting to move on, and they probably wouldn't have picked it up for another season on CBS, right?

Actually, Callista only agreed to the role because it would not require her to move. And all CW shows are filmed in Vancouver. So yes, the move is exactly why.

She's got enough cash in the bank that she can afford to set limits. If the studio wants her enough, it'll find away around it and if it doesn't want her enough then she doesn't care.

One that more than a few actors have made. Frex, it's why Duchovny left X-Files, IIRC. (I know he's done that, but I'm not 100% it was X-Files and not Red Shoe Diaries or Californication.)

Duchovny actually forced X-Files to move from Vancouver to LA, and then left a few seasons later.
