I binge watched all eight episodes last night.

It is like the amazing child of ET, Goonies, and The X-Files. It also has music and tone similar to It Follows. The child actors are amazing (as are the adults). A++ show, watch it ASAP!

I almost feel like - and this is just so far - if I was going to criticize it, I'd criticize it for being too derivative. It doesn't need to be as much of a period piece as it is. It's easily good enough to stand on its own. But, you know, I'm still loving it so far.

I wouldn't really call it derivative. It has some homages, which I find great. It is definitely supposed to remind you of 80s movies, but I think that just allows for a fantastic charm. And the ending was fantastically not what I would have expected.

I think what really bothers me - and I acknowledge I'm just nitpicking at this point - is the intro sequence, which is just too retro, and the music choices, which are a little too on the nose.

I honestly, didn't even watch the title sequence until the third episode (I usually check my phone during them). I just remember them being pretty boring.

I loved the music choices, but that is the music I grew up on. And I loved the OST because it reminded me of It Follows.

It's not that the music choices were BAD, it just felt like they were bashing me over the head with REMEMBER THIS SONG FROM THE 80s
