My friend in Boston. She's doing better than expected. Last I talked to her, the chemo was much more successful than they expected. They didn't expect her to survive, but she did. She's moved back home now. But she's probably never going to be able to work again, or at least not for a long while.

I hadn't seen you mention that. *Hugs*

Celebrity: After that backwards tumble down a huge hole in the middle of the stage last month, I hope that Papa Emeritus III doesn't have any lasting damage. He seems to be ok, but who knows what might creep up?

Personal: I hpe that my aunt and her son will be ok. He was in a car crash last thursday and got a sore neck. She is probably burnt out/depressed or if what mom said , onset of MS.

Allie Brosh of Hyperbole and a Half fame. Apparently she's been working on her next book, coming out this fall or next spring, I forget which, so she must still be ok. But she used to have a very active online presence, and now she's completely invisible. I don't really want her to write if she doesn't want to write, but I still occasionally worry about her.

Same. It seemed like she was doing better with her depression, based on a comic she posted and an NPR interview, but the fact that she wasn't back online much still had me worried.

To be fair, she went through a lot between her own depression and her sister dying. I'm not surprised she never really got back into the swing of things, but she stopped going on twitter and facebook too, and I was just kind of sad.

Amanda Byrnes, Patton Oswald and the Jackson kids. To a lesser extent, Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears.

Kasey Anderson, for purely selfish reasons. He's in jail for four years for fraud and he's an asshole, but his music is so fucking good. I hope nothing happens to him in there, and that he's spending those years writing some new albums. Also his bandcamp page was recently pulled, and now I'm pissed I didn't buy all his old stuff while I had the chance.

That one guy I had a crush on in college who was from Turkey. We haven't seen each other or communicated in 15 years, but still, he was cute.
