Fanfic contests
(Anonymous) 2016-07-17 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)I was part of Yugioh fanfic contest over on FF.netfew times. I believe it's still going. It was loads of fun. Each round had a different pairing, and they got more crack as the rounds went on. One person was eliminated each round by voting from the contestants.
I've found out that each time I get into a fandom with a big cast (MCU, Overwatch) I find myself itching for this kind of contest, just to see what kind of fics would get written. The more cynical part of me thinks it would never work with the current shipping culture.

Yeah, I don't even know where you'd host an event like this, since tumblr wouldn't work at all LJ is all but dead, and people don't go to FF.net all that much anymore. Sad, really. :/
Supernatural Fanfic Contest
a fanfic contest (all genres; gen, slash or het). It's mostly to generate interest in their radio show, but it should be fun.
The first prize is they produce an audio book for your fic.
