Knockout/Breakdown is canon????? (Transformers)

"Ship: Knock Out/Starscream. The TFP fandom does not seem to let this ship go EVEN WITH A NEW SERIES OUT and KNOCK OUT/BREAKDOWN BEING CANON IN A COMICS CONTINUITY. Then again I really don't like the abusive dynamic that Starscream had with Knock Out."

<----Some anon wrote this. First off, even though I wasn't around yesterday YES I AGREE. It's the main reason I got out of TF:P fandom tbh. I can't stand the pairing. Second: WHAT COMIC CONTINUITY ARE THESE TWO CANON IN!?!? WHAT? WHAT HAPPENS!? Please someone fill me in! I may have gotten out of TF fandom for the most part because a)the movie fandoms are kinda dead (my OTPs were Bee/Sam and Ironhide/Ratchet, so sue me), and b)TF:P fandom was kind of insufferable, but Knockout/Breakdown has a special place in my little fandom heart and I want to read!

It was just a mention on the side (I think in the second Windblade series?). Knockout was in a couple of comics, but I don't remember if Breakdown was actually present.

KOSS-hating anon from yesterday--Breakdown is present during another comic in the Windblade series iirc? It's mentioned that Knock Out and Breakdown are conjunx endura.

Found which comic! The Transformers Holiday Special. I believe the title of the part where Breakdown is shown is called "Choose Me". Sorry I didn't mention which comic! I've been out most of the day!

Although Breakdown is only referred to as Knock Out's Conjunx, because G1 Breakdown had a fairly major role at the time, and they try to avoid name collisions, aside from jokes (like Dent originally being Prowl until the Prowl we know got to be so ascendant that he couldn't use the name, or the Fat Tankor/Tall Tankor pairing), it is clearly him.
