Interracial coupling turned you off of a show?

Eh. Michonne can do better than Rick. A lot better. Like, almost every other guy on the show is a better option than Rick. He is sort of crazy pants.

Oh, okay. I don't watch the show so I have no idea.

(Anonymous) 2016-07-20 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
He's insane and highly irrational and I can't for the life of me understand why the others let him be the leader

Plus I will never forget that time he was literally two seconds from SELLING MICHONNE TO THE GOVERNOR EVEN THOUGH HE 100% KNEW IT WOULD GET HER TORTURED AND KILLED AND WOULDN'T ACCOMPLISH A DAMN THING. He changed his mind last second but he was totally going for it for half an episode.

wow so romantic. what a couple. Michonne can definitely do better and deserves better.

oh damn. that really is a personal slight of her personhood. the fact that he gets into a relationship (?) with her makes him sound even more dangerous.

ayrt

It was a couple of seasons ago so I guess we're supposed to forget that it happened, but I honestly still can't get over that. At that point,, it's not "our hero is morally grey!" it's "our hero is an asshole!"

(Anonymous) 2016-07-31 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
it was more like our hero had an impossible choice to make and almost did the morally wrong one.

Who exactly is a better option for Michonne? Sad and greasy Daryl Dixon who hasn't bathed in about a year and quite literally does nothing but mope around and grumble to himself like an old man?

Abraham who treats women like shit and then drops them like hot potatoes when better options become available to him?

Glenn is married, Aaron is gay and in a relationship, and I sincerely hope you don't think so lowly of Michonne to want her with someone like Eugene :/

Rick has his issues, but it's extremely obvious that they've been slowly building up to Rick/Michonne for quite awhile. And honestly, it's pretty great to see a white male lead in a genuine and loving relationship with a black woman. They also have a shit ton of chemistry so...

(Also people who honestly think Michonne is dying any time soon are really dumb)

Obvious?? Until she died (I think an episode before Rick and Michonne hooked up), Rick was creepily obsessing over Jesse.

Eugene is weird, but at least he isn't going on a murder rampage every other week.

Daryl mopes but at least he seems to be pretty stable personality wise.

There is Morgan. Jesus. Gabriel has become way more competent. There are a ton of other guys between the two towns.

As far as I know, none of them are mentally unstable guys who will be covered in blood at any given moment.

Ugh, I almost forgot the Jessie thing

It was set up like her husband being abusive was just a great excuse for Rick to be RIGHT in lusting after a married woman, as well as an excuse for Rick to kill someone again. Like "oh see it's NOT creepy because her husband needs to die, that makes it all okay, don't worry"

It would have been far more satisfying for like...Carol to have handled that situation, overall.

Jesus is gay in the comics and from everything I've read it sounds like they are going to bring this into the show as well

(Anonymous) 2016-07-20 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, lot's of people just *hate* Rick.
