Re: What is the most sheltered/spoiled thing you've ever heard someone say?

yiiiiikes. what did he do when you did babysit? and did he complain to mommy about what a horrible mean babysitter you were? :/

Honestly I feel so sorry for kids like that...they grow up to be insufferable.

Mostly he would try to convince me why it was okay to something when it wasn't. Like how him and his friend waited until I was in the bathroom to take their chocolate ice cream upstairs to eat in his bedroom filled with white pillows and blankets...Or when the mom told me he "didn't have a bedtime," so I put him and his friend to bed at 8 or 9 since he was only 7.

The mom told me she wanted to set up a school pick up schedule with me, and then she never called me back. I did, however, get a call from some random lady who was friends with this mom who wanted me to babysit her infant on weekdays. The mom knew I had school and I don't sit for infants, so the friend was noticeably disappointed when I told her I wouldn't sit for her. Like she was surprised I didn't jump at the chance. I was so mad that the mom just gave my number away to some stranger!

Oh man giving your number away without permission is NOT cool. I hope you took her to task for it.

(I'd say I hoped he didn't get the chocolate on the white pillows but I'd sort of be lying. Mommy needs a wake up call. Of course she might just take that back out on you...)

I didn't get the chance to say anything to her because I never saw or heard from her again.

And in retrospect, it would've been nice if he did ruin his sheets, but then I most likely would've been trashed for being "irresponsible."

Oh, and something else I didn't include yesterday: So the first day I met the mom and kid, I thought I was going over there for an interview and to see if the kid was okay with me. So Kevin is showing me his room, and all of a sudden, I hear the mom shout up the stairs, "I'm going to the store!" And she LEFT.

I'd only been there about 20 minutes, and she left me alone with her kid in her 3 story mansion. I could've robbed her! I could've kidnapped her kid! I could've vandalized her home! She didn't know me at all and she left her kid with me! I was dumbfounded.

She sounds so extremely sheltered tbh. No thought that Bad Things exist in the world. And I would have been so alarmed. And angry if I'd made plans and needed to leave!
