I get it with him. When I was younger I saw the movie 'A Simple Wish' once, and.I thought Martin Short was rather charming with his character in that film (and I liked how he looked after Annabel as well). And a sense of humor is a very attractive trait as well.

As for liking celebrities who are notably older than you, all I'll say is, join the club, my friend. Story of my life :p. Like who you wanna like :).

Yup, also a member of the club xD I have a huge thing for Michael Emerson and he's 40 years older than me, so I totally get it.
