In Scorpion King when they had Evie flashing back to her incarnation as the pharaoh's daughter, I still didn't feel at all bad about the pharaoh's death. I think the writer's tried to make me care ('Look, a character you like is sad! Be sad!'), but they just sort of made it worse, because... dude's favourite concubine is about the age of his daughter. Historically accurate, but still skeevy to the modern eye.

I still didn't feel too bad for Imhotep, though, because his plans were all so shit.
