Game of Thrones. Books and show.

Same, although I only felt that way beginning with book four. The drop in quality from book three was really dismaying.

Agreed. I have only read book one and half of book two so I don't know if things change. However I find that there's too much going on to the point where I find the plot to be bloated, unfocused and meandering.
