OMG yesssss. I think what I love most about that pairing is how righteous and uptight Simon is, and how damaged River is, so authors can really milk Simon's guilt for all it's worth.

I don't ship them, but I loved their canon relationship so much. Simon was my favorite character on the show and I feel he doesn't get enough love.
