Re: What class do you think should be taught in all schools?

This. And have it be HomeEc 1 and 2, taking a year each and teaching things like basic consumer math (like how to make and follow a budget, how loans and interest work, how credit cards work, how to fill out a tax form, how to get a savings account, checking accounts and how to balance a checkbook, and a little about retirement savings, etc.), basic cooking skills, basic sewing skills (how to mend a hem or sew on a button), basic car maintenance like how to change a tire or change the oil, how to fill out a job application, that sort of thing. Skills that most people will actually need to know.

I'm 40 years old, and I'd take that class right now if it was offered for people my age! I had to figure most of that stuff out as I went along.
