Disney cares more about not pissing off the Chinese government so the movie can be shown in the second largest market in the world than it does about upsetting a few thousand fans online, most of whom find fault with everything anyway.

I don't expect them to make a different decision but even so, not wanting to piss off China re. Tibet is not a morally defensible position.

I also still don't really understand why "omg we can't mention Tibet" equals "let's cast that white lady in the role of an Asian character". Noboy said they were supposed to cast an actual Tibetan actor and then stamp his head with a big red "TIBET RULEZ" sign, but using this as a conventient excuse to erase another potential Asian role in general is iffy.
