Warning tags = SRS FN BSNS!

I think people are being way too sensitive about the language here. People putting shoujo ai behind a warning label as opposed to just a simple tag aren't doing it to be insulting. They don't mean "PACK UP YOUR KIDS AND RUN TO THE HILLS THE FUCKING FAGS ARE COMING TO EAT YOUR BABIES!!!"

It's only offensive if you choose to see it that way. Considering that the intentions behind it are just simple courtesy, I think it's pretty rude of people to start accusing those who post this way of being bigoted jerks.

Yeah, I know, but it's still a sign that they might, and other people might see it as abnormal (in a bad way). It's one of these subconscious acts of (very mild, but still) bigotry that I think people would stop doing if they thought about what it meant for a little while.

Words have power, and they shape the way we think. Completely normalising homo-and bisexuality in writing first will train the mind in seeing it that way (the opposite is true as well).

No, it really is offensive, despite the intentions (which I still think are important, because I really don't believe the warnings are put up to be insulting at all). It's labelling homo-and bisexuality as somehow deviant.

I think the warnings are mostly because of old habits, and plain just not thinking about it, though, not that the posters themselves are bigots. They're just slightly shaped by a society so full of bigotry that some of it is still seems normal.

Heh, sorry about the long-windedness.
