Why would a person purposely make their secret too big?

To make their secret stand out in a section all its own, or because they think that shrinking it in size dimishes its quality or impact. Too Big secrets get just as much attention as the regular secrets, so it's not like it actually makes a difference if it's a little too big.

Even when it's not pruposeful, it's likely that they just didn't read the rules thoroughly, or posted their secret after absentmindedly forgetting to resize it. It's not like they're going to get the banhammer in the case of exceeding the 600x600 limit, after all.

Either way, it reflects nothing about the poster's intelligence, or the overall intelligence of their fandom as a whole. To think otherwise is...silly at best.
