We've kind of got the same situation here; one old cat with an medical problem that makes it difficult for him to absorb food, who needs ALL THE CALORIES, and one round cat who needs to be on Fat Kitty food but will eat whatever she can find.

We haven't figured out a solution, unfortunately.
