My main problem with GoT is that I don't really like a single character and that makes it hard for me to watch.

That was my issue with the books and why I couldn't finish the first way back when.

Agreed. Every single character was unlikable to me - it was watching a show about bad people to bad things to one another and I just can't see the appeal in that.

Oberyn was alright but then he went splat. Brienne, eh... I think I jumped ship/stopped watching before she got her best moments and I'm not going to start again just for her.
I have no idea who the middle character is.

I liked the dragons. But that's about it.

Missendei is Dany's interpreter girl.

Problem is, I suspect she is not a big enough character for a lot of people to get attached to. It's easy to be a fan of characters like Dany, Jon, Jaime, Cersei (in a love-to-hate-her way) because they get the bulk of screen time and are central to the major plots, but Missendei is a secondary character to one of those leads.

Shows how much attention I paid while watching. Then again, I'm notoriously terrible with faces so even if I had paid more attention, I probably wouldn't know who she is (I even have problems with the protagonists).
