I'm still shocked that you are even thinking this way.

If you can't think of a single compliment to make to the artist about them and the work to make it a little more personal than just a "thank you", then I don't know what to tell you except it's probably on you and not them.

nayrt - a tad harsh, but I too sometimes wonder at all the people who make a fuss over how they can't possibly craft a nice thank you without lying through their teeth. I assume they never had to write dozens of thank you cards for birthday and Christmas presents from clueless relatives with bad taste when they were growing up...
