It's hard to think about, I know!

I think with good characters what I tend to like is (1) their striving and (2) their caring. I like characters who are trying to be good. I like characters who care a lot about things and are trying to figure out how to put that into action. I like characters who are doing the best they can even against all the odds, and I like characters who want the best and want to be good. I want them to be good and I want them to be happy and so I root for them.
