It's okay to think it's ugly. But yeah, I'd argue, thank them for thinking so highly of your fic, and giving you such a thoughtful gift. I mean, that much seems to be totally true.

(I mean, I've gotten silly little Flash animations in honor of some stuff I've done. Was it my style? No. But someone went through the effort of making it for me, and that delighted me however it looked.)
