I don't doubt that people do this. People are shitty and manipulative.
But the idea that Amber Heard, successful beautiful person, would do this with JOHNNY DEPP, who is literally drinking buddies with powerful men all over her industry, is really hard to believe. She's not some rando with nothing to lose. Why would she do some elaborate bullshit for a few million dollars and the enmity of every sexist asshole in Hollywood when she has her whole career ahead of her.

Lol seriously. Coming out as an abuse victim/divorcing an abusive spouse isn't all rainbows and sunshine and an easy street to free money like some people think it is.
Society treats abuse victims like total garbage, very few people lie and make up abuse because of this. There are also way easier ways to get a big settlement in a divorce that don't require abuse. Refusing to believe her story because, "lmao she's just money-hungry!!" is downright insulting and moronic.

Considering that the evidence is against her claims? That's what people are looking at.

What evidence is that? I wasn't aware that a trial had taken place. Oh, unless you're referring to TMZ. Pinnacle of journalistic integrity there, and definitely not in Depp's pocket.
