The perils of letting actors be voice actors. Few have the insight to recognize what makes a good performance using only voice.

It's really sad to see actual voice actors passed over for bigger names all the time now.

I was trying not to focus on that part because that actually makes me mad.

That said, Charlyne Yi, the actor in question, is not what I would call a big name.

I know, I like Charlyne Yi a lot even, but... she just wasn't qualified for the job at all. A lot of her voice work as Ruby sounds garbled and amateur, like every line read is the first take. She has a charming screen presence but it doesn't translate at all.
