Any library jobs open? I worked in several different capacities in campus libraries in college it was pretty low-key, especially since I took Friday and Saturday evening shifts when the library was really dead. I had to reshelve books and things, but I also had time to sit at the circulation desk and study.

Not much right now, but I think they post job listings closer to the fall semester starting. I also heard they get a lot of applications usually (probably cause of what you mentioned) but it would be cool if I could get something like that. Idk. I am still feeling shitty about my prospects.

If you really want a foot in the door for a library job, volunteering helps. I started volunteering at a college library, which turned in getting hired a few weeks later when they had an opening.

Not that that helps you right now (sorry), but keep it in mind.
