I am interested in this proof which you seem to have discovered. I do hope you'll share with the rest of the class.

Also, tangentially related, the "either or" argument that you're using is referred to as "the sucker's choice" in a crucial conversations class that I attended. The way you're framing the issue is as if there are only two possible outcomes, when in reality, there are many other outcomes that you don't include in your argument.

Ok while guilty or not guilty are really the only options lets throw in some off the wall options. She has a mental disease and imagined the abuse. The video of him filming in another country when she claims he smothered him is really some other person. Depp paid 2 sets of cops to lie about her having 0 proof of abuse on her when they showed up and claim there was no damage to the location which she said he trashed. Depp paid off tons of other people who say she was always the one attacking him. Her history of abusing past girlfriend was complete fabricated by the gay cop she had the press call a homophobic bigot. But there are only two possible outcomes. Either she actually has the proof of abuse she claims and he ends up guilty. Or she has no proof he is ruled innocent and she gets smeared forever. Or I guess there is a third possibility and they come to a settlement out of court with a tight nda and we never know the truth. I don't claim to know them personally. I'm just going off police reports and other sources that rebuked some of her claims. He may of beat the crap out of her. She may of beat the crap out of him. The fact that we have gone to the extreme of every man is guilty if a woman says so at this point is bullshit though and I say that as a woman. Treat women like they are telling the truth, but you still need to actually confirm it before you burn the defendant at the cross. Now is depp a pos for other reasons. Absolutely. But we don't actually have proof that he his a spouse beater yet.
