I live in a rural place too. It's amazing to me how often I hear about people finding pokemon right in their house. I'm lucky to find more than a stray weedle within half a mile of my house, let alone anywhere on the property, which has never happened even once unless I was using incense (which I refuse to pay money for because I have a rule against spending money on free games) and even with the incense there wasn't all that much that came to me.

But I just don't try to play unless I'm going somewhere more populated. I went out to lunch with my best friend yesterday and found a pinsir while we were eating!

This is me. I do admit to using it around my neighborhood when I walk for exercise, but I don't go 'hunting' for specific Pokemon because there isn't exactly a large variety where I live anyway, and there's almost nothing but homes around me so I would probably have to traverse into someone's yard to catch a rare Pokemon even if I found one. I'm not doing that in a state where almost everyone owns a gun, even if people are mostly friendly, lol.

So I mostly use the app when I go to more populated areas.
