I think OP is trying to categorize it in a way that makes sense to them, which appears to work broadly, but ultimately sometimes it's hard to identify why the brain will latch on to one ship and not another...
It's like how I like listening to "dramatic songs" while walking, but some of the songs that my brain decides it likes and can use for drama are not songs that I would normally classify as being particularly dramatic, and vice-versa.
