Alien and Predator isn't a fan theory. Canonically they are in the same universe. Blade Runner and Robocop I can get behind. But Avatar doesn't seem to fit in that universe to me.

While I would argue the canonicity is tenuous, it's irrelevant as the two franchises have been linked for years.

Anyway, it's pretty simple really. Ever see the director's cut of Avatar? It's pretty much one big homage to Blade Runner, only with even more neon. The company in the film is likely a major competitor to Weyland-Yutani, and the planet is one of those "off-world colonies" you keep hearing about in Blade Runner. Androids in Alien are likely a similar model or even advanced version of the replicants in Blade Runner.

There's other links, too. But I think a big part of the whole thing working is to assume they're not all taking place at the same time.
