I teared up looking at the gifs because I'm a sap.

TBH I wasn't a big fan of Edward, but the supporting cast of Black Flag was excellent and the whole end-run of the game was very effective. There was so much loss in that game and seeing Edward's reaction and change really hit me in the feels.

I know, right? At first, I was like "Oh great, he's a douche" which caused me to focus more on the others, then he had to go and punch my feels and make me like him.

See, I thought Edward was a douche for like... 80% of the game, and although the gameplay was brilliant and fun, and I liked the secondary cast, it stumped me as to why he wasn't changing, and why the game didn't feel more like an Assassin's game. Then... Well, maybe its just me, but I didn't even think Edward was supposed to be particularly likable, he was just supposed to show how hard change can be, and maybe how even if it takes a long ass time, a person can come to their senses, lol.
