I don't agree that it was cheating but I do think it's possible to cheat on a personal challenge, so I think they're making sense even if I don't agree with them.

I mean sure it's possible to cheat on a personal challenge, but I don't think PokeGo is a personal challenge. (Not sure if you are trying to make that specific claim or not, sorry!)

Then how do you feel about people tell their friends of the best places to find certain pokemon in their home town? And this is BEFORE they knew about PokeVision, mind.

Would that considered "cheating?"

I don't think it's cheating because in the regular Pokemon games, NPCs would tell you where to find stuff all the time.
